linux dedicated serversHaving been in the web hosting business for over 10 years, we know the hardware configurations that provide maximum uptime. Our Linux dedicated servers are SuperMicros, which are known in the industry for being robust and yet affordable.

Each SuperMicro that we purchase is based on the Intel chipset and uses 3Ware hardware RAID (when selected with the order).  The CPUs range from a standard Intel Celeron to a fast Xeon Dual-core. We include a minimum of 1 GB of RAM which can be upgraded to 4 GB. 

Our Linux dedicated servers are monitored 24/7 using Nagios. Nagios can be configured to monitor your server availability, disk space, CPU load as well as monitor any application that is critical to your operation such as httpd, smtpd, mysqld, ntpd, etc.

In addition to monitoring our Linux dedicated servers, we provide Continuous Data Protection (CDP). The CDP backups are an optional add-on; however, it is highly recommended to run regularly scheduled backups. Once the backup schedule is in place on your Linux dedicated server, you'll have peace of mind knowing your important data and applications are safe. In case you need to restore a file, simply point your web browser to the CDP server. Select the file(s) on your Linux dedicated server to restore, and the data will be copied from the CDP server to the desired location.

Our support team is known for being available. And our availability is one that are customers have come to trust. Many of our customers come from other web hosting companies where they were receiving sub-par support. One of the main complaints is that the support staff is simply not responsive. At Nixracks, we do answer the phone. We also provide a live chat line, so that you can make inquiries and save your nickel on the phone bill. Or simply send our support staff an email. Emails are returned the same day -- typically within a few hours.

On the weekends and weekday evenings, we provide an emergency contact that goes to the pager of our engineering staff. This emergency contact is reserved for any issues on our customer's Linux dedicated servers that need immediate attention during off hours.
